The Happy Club

The Happy Club studio is located in Wheaton, IL.
Thank you for visiting this nearly-empty website, which is a placeholder the wonderful Happy Club site to come.

The Basics
The Happy Club was designed by master acoustician Wes Lachot, and built by Jim Skarin and chief engineer Jeff Elbel.

The room was designed as a mixing and mastering facility. All activity takes place on the main floor. Although there is no separation from a control room to a live room, Jeff prefers this open-air concept adopted by respected facilities including Craig Schumacher’s Tucson, AZ-based Wavelab Studio. In addition to remote sessions at larger facilities, Jeff has engineered many excellent-sounding live sessions at the Happy Club.

The room is 21’ feet deep, with an 11’ front wall and 15’ rear wall.
